About Me
Whoever coined the term “copywriter” wasn’t a very good one. Because to me the job is about a lot more than simply putting pen to paper. It’s about ideas. Big ones. Tiny ones. Weird ones. Inspiring ones. Funny ones. Tear-jerking ones. But mostly, different ones. Ideas are what I love. “Copywriting” is just how I express them.

At ABI, DE&I is at the center of everything we do. And as the lead copywriter, it’s my responsibility to ensure every idea and every ad we put out into the world is fully inclusive and engaging for historically underserved and under-represented audiences — whether we’re promoting vaccines, raising awareness about the dangers of Fentanyl or simply promoting an offer on airport parking.

As one of the creative leads for the agency, I was responsible for developing and managing campaigns starting at 30,000 feet in the air and safely landing them without so much as a single tire skid on the runway. My work spanned nearly every industry and showed up in almost every channel imaginable. I was also tasked with leading creative presentations, developing creative strategies and working directly with clients regularly.

The work I did at RAPP was all about connecting with consumers on an individual, human to human level. Whether it was a long form direct mail piece, a quick hitting digital ad or a social media post, everything had to simultaneously tell a larger, holistic story about the brand while also hitting home for an audience of one single Mom named Debbie shopping online for school supplies.

My responsibilities included concepting, writing and selling ideas for a large, complex brand in the financial services industry. I worked on direct marketing and brand campaigns for everything from insurance and credit card offers to investments and financial advice. In short, I wrote anything from five to 5,000 word ads for a brand that more than doubled in size during its relationship with CE.
